Job Description
About the Role
CRV is looking for an experienced operations leader to take charge of our national Herd Testing service. You'll lead a team of Regional Service Co-ordinators and the Herd Test Administration team, ensuring herd testing is delivered efficiently, safely and to a high standard right across New Zealand.
This is a hands-on leadership role. You'll manage the day-to-day operational delivery of the service, own the working relationship with MilkTest NZ, and work closely with Sales Team Leaders to grow the service in key regions. You'll also carry accountability for compliance, including Health & Safety and the Dairy Herd Testing Standards, and for developing the training and capability of your field team.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage the Regional Service Co-ordinators and Herd Test Administration team.
Deliver a consistent, efficient herd testing service across NZ, meeting revenue, expense and operational targets.
Manage the day-to-day MilkTest NZ relationship and ensure compliance with Telarc accreditation and other regulatory standards.
Coordinate training and development for Regional Service Co-ordinators and Herd Testing Technicians.
Promote safety leadership and ensure H&S policies and safe working procedures are followed on farm.
Manage and resolve escalated customer complaints and support proactive engagement with clients and Sales Consultants.
Location
CRV Head Office, Matangi, with regular travel around New Zealand, including overnight stays as required.

Desired Skills and Experience
About You
You're an experienced people leader with a track record of managing field-based or operational teams. You bring strong organisational and problem-solving skills, and you're comfortable balancing budget, compliance and customer outcomes at the same time. Herd testing knowledge is preferred but not essential; what matters most is your ability to lead, coach and hold a dispersed team to a high standard.
You'll also demonstrate:
Strong customer relationship experience
Sound organisational and troubleshooting skills
A collaborative style, comfortable working with Sales Team Leaders, RSCs and external stakeholders such as MPI, Telarc and DairyNZ
Willingness to travel around NZ, including overnight stays
